Does anyone have any good recipes for face scrubs and masks that I can make at home?
Tina
The sort of things you can use to make scrubs and masks will vary depending on your skin type.

There are a couple of good scrubs I've come across - the first one uses equal quantities of fine oatmeal and ground almonds (a couple of teaspoons of each should suffice), blended with orange flower water for oily skin, or a light unfragranced (preferrably organic) cream for dry skin.

The other one uses equal quantities of cornflour and raw brown sugar - again 2 teaspoons of each - with 1 teaspoon of almond oil. To get to the right consistancy thin with either lemon juice (for oily skin) or apple juice (for dry skin)

Masks:

For dry and ageing skin mash a quarter of an avocado and then stir in 1 teaspoon of runny honey, 2 teaspoons of greek honey and 2 drops of either jasmine or rose otto essential oils. Apply to the face and leave for at least 10 minutes. Wipe off and then rinse the face thoroughly.

For oily skin put a 2 inch piece of cucumber, 4 teaspoons of green clay and 2 teaspoons of brewers yeast into a blender - add a little water if it is too thick

For tired or dry skin whisk an egg yolk and then add 2 teaspoons of turmeric, 2 teaspoons of brewers yeast, 2 teaspoons of pollen grains and 2 dessertspoons of jojoba oil - use rosewater to blend to a useable consistancy
